NORTH WEST ADVENTURE - 8 DAYS
This trip to the northwest of Vietnam will definitely leave you with wonderful impressions. The amazingly huge Hoa Binh hydro power station is the start of your impression chain. Additionally, you will have interesting time staying in traditional stilt houses, visiting famous historical sites, traveling through fertile valleys and snaking through high mountain passes. All of these make this part of Vietnam a well worth-visiting place.
DAY 1: HANOI - SON LA (L, D)
Pick up at hotel in Hanoi at some 08:30 am. Drive to Son La via Hoa Binh with lots of sightseeing en route. You can have a stop near the biggest hydro power station on the way to the top of the pass to see Mai Chau valley, lunch on the half way and enjoy the rice wine drunk with a rod. Arrive in Son La, check in and relax. Overnight in Son La.
DAY 2: SON LA - TUAN GIAO - DIEN BIEN PHU (B, L, D)
After breakfast, take a short visit to Son La prison - The prison was built by French colonialism in 1908. In 1930-1945, it was expanded and became the place that detained revolutionary soldiers. It was considered a steel prison and a hell on earth to stamp out strong struggle of prisoners. Cross over the Pha Din Pass before reaching Dien Bien Phu, the site of the decisive battle in Vietnam's struggle for independence in 1954. Visit Hillary Hill, The French Colony General's tuner and then see the whole Dien Bien Phu by visiting the museum. Overnight in Dien Bien city.
DAY 3: DIEN BIEN PHU - MUONG LAY - LAI CHAU (B, L, D)
With about 6 - 7 hours today, our drive is often steep and sometimes rugged, the road through the Lai Chau valley is both breathtaking and dramatic, hugging rice terraced mountainsides and fording turbulent rivers, our road travel today are visually spectacular. On this day you'll have a chance to see the most beautiful hill tribes in Northern Vietnam such as H´Mong, Black Thai, Black Dzao, Pazi. Dinner and overnight in town of new Lai Chau (or Tam Duong).
DAY 4: LAI CHAU - SAPA (B, L )
A small walk around this peaceful town and the market before hitting the road up hills as we wind through Tram Ton pass, the highest mountain pass in Viet Nam. As rewarded, we will have the magnificent views of the great mountains, passes and valleys and experience a dramatic change of climate as we mount approaching Sapa - an old French hill station, a busy market town for the regional minority groups, the town is encircled with towering peaks, often shrouded in cloud, and the air is cool and crisp. Check in a hotel with comfort and free to explore this famous town of Sapa.
Overnight in Sapa.
DAY 5: SAPA - BAC HA TREKKING (B, L, D)
Breakfast at hotel and check out around 9:00-10:00am. You'll be driven by private car to visit Lao Chai village - the village of Black H'mong people. Trekking to visit Ta Van village - the village of Dzay people and then take a bit hard trek to Giang Ta Chai village (medium hard) - a village of Red Dzao people. Stop at "Cau May" for picnic lunch, take a short rest before. You'll be transferred back to Sapa and transfer direct back to Bac Ha. Check in hotel. Overnight in Bac Ha.
DAY 6: TREKKING - HOMESTAY (B, L, D)
After breakfast, depart your trek from Bac Ha town through the mountain and forest to Thai Giang Pho village - the village of RED H'MONG people, climb up to top of the mountain to see Bac Ha town in overall with the height of 700m. Continue trekking to San Ho village for picnic lunch, after lunch, trek down to Nam Thang to visit Nung minority and then a short walk to Nam Ton village (Nam Khanh). Dinner in this village with Red Zao people. Homestay on stilt house.
DAY 7: MORE TREK - BAC HA - HANOI (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the village, start a new day of trekking to Nam Det village, climb up to Nam Bo mountain - visit the black Dao village near there, trekking through bamboo forest to Na Lo village, Visit this village and then lunch. After lunch, take a rest and the be picked up again by car to transfer directly to Lao Cai Station. Take a night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on train to Hanoi.
DAY 8: HANOI
Arrive in Hanoi early morning. TOUR PRICE:
